Reminders

Hello, this is Principal Matthew Ballentine calling from Chillicothe High School with a friendly reminder about tonight's Homecoming Dance.

The dance begins promptly at 8:00 PM and runs until 11:00 PM.

For all students attending, you will need to enter through the Cox Gym doors located in the north parking lot. This is where our staff will be set up for check-in.

Please note that you must be inside and checked in by 9:00 PM. For the safety and security of all our students, we will not be able to admit anyone after the 9:00 PM cut-off, so please plan to arrive early! Also, please know that when you leave the building, there will be no reentry.

We ask that every student attending bring some form of photo identification to enter the dance. Please be sure to have this ready for check-in.

We are excited for a great evening! Please remember to enjoy your time, look out for one another, and make safe, responsible choices.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing everyone tonight for a fun and memorable Homecoming!

Levy Question September 29th
Leading into reading Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible”, students in Mrs. Schobelock’s English Language Arts class have been exploring the historical context and background of the Salem Witch Trials, the Red Scare, and Puritanism. “The Crucible” is based on and inspired by the Salem Witch Trials, but serves as an allegory for the Red Scare which lasted from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. We love seeing our students’ creativity and artwork as they prepare to read such a prominent piece of American Literature!

Today was a truly special day at our school! We had a powerful and meaningful "Say Hello" assembly focused on the importance of kindness and inclusion in our community. We are incredibly proud of one of our very own students, Ella Morehead, who led the discussion and spoke so eloquently about how we can all make an effort to connect with one another. The assembly was inspired by the important work of the Sandy Hook Promise, and it served as a vital reminder that one small act of kindness can make a profound difference.

As we move forward, we want to continue this celebration of kindness and community. Next week, we're kicking off a school spirit week! I've attached the full schedule to this email, and you can also find a copy below.

Spirit Week Schedule:

Meet & Greet Monday: Wear Green

Upstander Tuesday: Dress in Rainbows

Wacky Wednesday: Dress Wacky

Trusted Adult Thursday: Dress as your Favorite Adult

Know Your Classmate Friday: Wear your Cavalier Spirit Wear

Thank you for your continued support in helping us foster a safe, welcoming, and compassionate environment for all of our students.

Remember, you matter!
