We would just like to remind everyone that there will be no school for our 7th - 12th grade students tomorrow, November 14th. The CMS/CHS building and District Office will be closed.

Preschool - 6th grade (Chillicothe STEM Preschool, Chillicothe Primary School, and Chillicothe Intermediate School) will be in session, as regularly scheduled.

Congratulations to Cannan Smith on his national letter of intent signing with Ohio University to continue his academic and athletic career as a member of the Bobcats Wrestling Team!

Our students are having a wonderful time in The Big Apple -- New York City! They have gotten to visit landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, explore Chinatown, and visit the 9/11 Museum.

We’d like to remind everyone that there is no school tomorrow, November 11th, in honor of Veterans Day! Students return to school on Wednesday, Nov. 12th.

There will be no school on Tuesday, November 11th, in recognition of Veterans Day!

*This is for all grade levels and buildings. All CCSD offices will be closed that day.*

Chillicothe High School and Middle School will be closed on Friday, November 14th. All 7th - 12th grade students will not attend school that day.

All other CCSD buildings - Chillicothe STEM Preschool, Primary School, and Intermediate School - will be open and in session that day. Pre-K - 6th grade students should attend school on Friday, November 14th!

We’d like to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped us PACK THE BUS last night! CCSD is committed to continuing helping to fight food insecurity in our district and community. Your donations will go a long way to help those in need! 💙🚍 We’d also like to give a special shoutout to Downtown Chillicothe for their support and help with this project!

Don’t forget to help us pack the bus TODAY, from 4:00PM - 6:00PM!

Chillicothe Fire Department is hosting a Drive-Thru Food Drive THIS Saturday to help combat food insecurity in our community! Be sure to come out, donate, and help feed your community!

They will be receiving donations at the department, at 54 E Water St, from 9:00AM - 1:00PM.

Help us Pack The Bus THIS Thursday, November 6th, from 4-6PM. A Chillicothe City School District school bus will be parked on The west side of Paint Street, outside the jail. Please donate canned goods or non-perishable food items, or make a monetary donation if you can, to support the Cavalier Closet!

MR. CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE YEAR 🏆 Give a big round of applause to our guy Cartae Ligon for winning conference player of the year! In only his Sophomore campaign he put up video game numbers 🎮! He had mind-blowing 🤯 performances and amassed over 2200 Rushing yards for 27 TD’s, over 300 receiving yards for 2 TDs, 200 yds kick returns, 80 tackles, 3 interceptions, 4 PBU’s! Congratulations, Cartae, the future is bright for you!

Our seniors brought their Halloween Spirit to this year’s costume contest—organized by Student Council and hosted by senior class advisors Mrs. Dana and Ms. Arredondo!

Chillicothe City School District is proud to congratulate CHS alumnus Benjamin Yandila for successfully completing the Leadership Launchpad Program through the OHIO Robert D. Walter Center for Strategic Leadership at Ohio University!

Benjamin has shown outstanding commitment, reflection, and growth throughout this multi-workshop leadership journey—culminating in earning his Leadership Challenge Coin, a symbol of integrity, teamwork, and purpose-driven leadership.

The Leadership Launchpad helps Ohio University students explore who they are as leaders, understand how they influence others, and build the foundational skills needed to lead with purpose—on campus, in their careers, and beyond.

With a 3rd Place finish in the Regional Cross Country Meet the Boys XC Team has qualified for the 2025 State Cross Country Championship.
They will run at 2:20PM Saturday, November 1st at The Fortress, Obetz.

Let's cheer on our Cavaliers as they take on the Jackson Ironmen TONIGHT in the FAC Championship game! The game will be hosted at Jackson, with kickoff at 7:00PM!
